About Chapman Brickwork

Almost from the moment I could walk, I was outside, hands busy, clothes covered in mud or sawdust, always building something that lasted. My early experiments with dens, forts and even small brickwork projects, taught me the joy of creating with my own hands.

With a dad who was a carpenter and builder, I quickly learned the value of skill, precision, and seeing a project come to life. I loved every moment on site, passing tools, holding timber, and watching something real take shape from nothing.

By my late teens, I knew I wanted to make a living from my hands. In 2004, I joined a multi-trade college course, and the moment I first laid bricks, I was hooked. That passion led to a bricklaying apprenticeship at 16, where I mastered brickwork and qualified in just two years.

Since then, I’ve honed my skills on every project I take on, building quality brickwork and structures that last. My ultimate goal is to use everything I’ve learned to build my own house from the ground up, one brick at a time.
